August 3, 2017 – North Words is pleased to announce our 2018 keynote author, Susan Orlean (see below). She will join a group of Alaska/Northwest writers at next year’s symposium, May 30 – June 2, 2018 in Skagway! The 2017 symposium, keynoted by Paul Theroux, broke attendance records, and also taught us that a comfortable limit for us is 40 participants plus faculty, so that will be the new participation limit when we open up registration for the ninth annual North Words Writers Symposium in October. Our 2017 Gallery is now up on the site. Take a look under The Experience tab above and then click on the Photo Album to see the 2017 pictures and several more from other years.
