Why his club selected him: The new and improved Lamar knows what it is like to be shy, insecure and afraid to meet new people and express himself. As a quiet 15 year old, Lamar knew that his social skills were impacting his school performance and that is why he desired change. As a member of the Smilow Rainier Vista Boys and Girls Club, Lamar sought homework help in math, science and language arts. As a result, he has turned his once D & E grades in to C's & B's and has a boost of confidence! Lamar's favorite subject is World History. He is an avid drummer who plays for the Rainier Beach High School Drum Line and his local church. Lamar is not certain about his college major, but he aspires to attend college at UW or UCLA. Elizabeth is a sophomore at Everett High School. Her favorite subjects are Art, French, and AVID, (Advancement Via Individual Determination), a college readiness class. She is a member of the EHS Spirit Club, Girls Bowling, and the Track and Field team, and is involved with the schools annual fall food drive. Elizabeth has participated in Camp Fire since 3rd grade, embracing opportunities to Give Service through volunteer projects for the local food bank, animal shelter, and senior center; assisting with various Council activities and events; and raising funds for her club and the Council through the annual candy sale and Seahawks Spirit of 12 program. She hopes to join the Counselor in Training program at Camp Killoqua this summer. In addition to her Camp Fire activities, Elizabeth has been an active participant in Relay for Life since the age of 8, joining her family to raise money each year for the American Cancer Society. She is honored to be a member of Team Aloha, one of the top Relay fundraising teams in the nation. She is also a member of Assisteens, the teen auxiliary group of the Assistance League of Everett, and participates in fundraising activities to purchase clothing for teens-in-need, which are distributed through Operation School Bell.

Natalie is a fun-loving freshman at Cascade High School. She's been involved with Camp Fire since she was in the 4th grade (6 years). With the grounded influence of their service-minded Camp Fire leader, her energetic Camp Fire group has helped at the food bank, volunteered time creating art projects, volunteered at Bethany nursing home, helped at events to feed the homeless, and made cards for hospitalized Vets, among other meaningful projects serving her community. An avid music lover, Natalie was in every music club her middle school had to offer (Jazz Band, Jazz Choir, a marimba band, and Advanced Band). She plays flute, piano and percussion instruments, and loves to sing. She is currently involved in Cascade Sound's Marching Band and enjoys the sometimes exhausting performance work.
