The essay contest asks high school students in the 10th through 12th grade to write about the book in an essay of 700 to 1500 words.

Our fall jumpstart scholarship is now accepting applications. You have from now until midnight on October 17th to submit your application. Please use the online application to apply for this award. If you've entered our spring competition we will be notifying all winners in about 30-45 days. Our judges are currently reviewing and scoring all applications.

High School Scholarships | Scholarship Contest for Seniors
: Middle school and high school students can participate in this essay contest. Write an essay on a science-related topic on one of four of the identified challenges: feeding the world, building a secure energy future, protecting people and the environment and being innovative. The deadline is typically in February each year. Prizes range from a $250 U.S. Savings Bond to a $5,000 U.S. Savings Bond. First, second and third place winners also receive a trip to Orlando.
